Since Monday, we’ve been reading suspense books of our own choosing.  Tina, our librarian, helped us find some good ones.  It could be a mystery, an adventure, a creepy ghost story or any other kind of a suspenseful story!  I hope you are enjoying your suspense book and I would love to hear about it!

Post the title, author and situation of your suspense book, as well as what you like about it.  You can even add a teaser at the end to entice your fellow classmates to try your book next!  Don’t give a way the ending, but have some fun creeping out your friends!!

Just in time for the dark and dreary month of October, we will descend into one of the darkest eras of human history:  the Middle Ages.   Before we wander too far into the dark, I want to hear from YOU...what do you know about the Middle Ages?  What do you want to know?  What kinds of events occurred during this dark time?
Post your prior knowledge, predictions and wonderings here!  I won’t be afraid!!

Welcome to Seventh Grade!

Well, the first day of school has finally arrived.  You may have been excited and maybe even a little nervous about it.  After all, starting seventh grade is a big deal!  You are venturing off into the rest of the school, following a more complicated schedule and taking on more of a leadership role as students at White Hill.  All of those things are huge changes...for anyone!  Take a deep breath and know that it’ll all seem familiar to you sooner than you realize.

I’d like to ask you all some questions...what are your thoughts about seventh grade?  Are you excited or filled with dread?  What have you heard about seventh grade?  Do you have any questions?  Are you feeling some anticipation for some new privileges--like having a locker and going to dances?  How about your new role as the bigger students on campus...there to help those new sixth graders along?  Leave a response or comment on our blog!  I’m interested in hearing your thoughts!
