The book I read was Room One by: Andrew Clements. This book was about a boy who lives in Plattsford Nebraska. He is bored of his every day life so he decides to look for a mystery to solve. He decides to go to the Anderson's farm which is and old abandoned farm house. When he goes in, he discovers a family that is squatting in the house. They tell him their story of how and why they were there. Now this young boy has to help them figure out their problems with a little help from his middle school teacher Mrs.Michelle. -Stefan Venne
Among the Hidden, by Magaret Peterson Haddix, is the first of an exciting series set in the future. Luke lives in a society that allows families to have only two children. The problem is, he is a third child. Throughout most of his childhood, Luke has lived with his family next to a secluded wood, and so he could play outdoors without anyone knowing about him.
This all changes when the government begins to develop housing for the growing population, and Luke is forced to live inside, confined to the attic. The one bright-spot in Luke's life literally shines through the slats of the attic windows, where he can look out into the world without being seen. On day, Luke even thinks he sees another "hidden child" in a neighboring house.
